Research Associate I Research Associate I Position Overview: This full-time, entry-level position will contribute to multiple projects as assigned across PPA’s focus areas and support business development activities, such as proposal preparation and PPA communications. The work may include: Qualitative data collection (e.g., site visits, interviews, surveys, focus groups) Data management Data coding and basic statistics Literature reviews Supporting meetings Data visualization Issue brief preparation and report writing for different audiences This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. This position is eligible for 100% remote work within the United States, although occasional travel to Lansing, Michigan (our office location) is required. Other travel within Michigan and around the country may also be required. Knowledge of PPA policy areas helpful but not required. Has a master’s degree in relevant field and at least one year of relevant work experience, or possesses a bachelor’s degree in relevant field, is actively pursuing a master’s degree, and has at least two years of relevant work experience. Relevant fields of study include sociology, history, economics, cultural studies, political science, public administration, public policy, education, public health (non-clinical), social work (non-clinical), and criminal justice.
