Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer that works as a Subsystem Integration and Test Engineer to support a Strike Program in Melbourne, FL. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

This position will be responsible for planning and executing laboratory-based integration of vehicle subsystems and system capabilities for a manned aircraft mission. This individual will collaborate with several stakeholders (responsible engineers, software engineers, system testers, systems engineers, and lab engineers) to develop integrated procedure in support of feature integration, requirement verification, TACC artifact generation and certification.

Essential Functions:
• Execute subsystem roadmap derived integrated activities and document integration and test results following standardized processes and tools.
• Develop and execute subsystem and system level integration test procedures and perform data analysis to validate integrated hardware and software functionality.
• Perform troubleshooting and resolution of HW/SW configuration issues on systems to resolve issues related to system functionality.

Key Skills:
The selected candidate should be a versatile engineer with understanding of subsystem/system integration, requirement verification and qualification. Individual should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative / team settings across all levels.

• Familiarity with lab based testing.
• Agile Systems Engineering Experience and familiarity with DevOps practice.
• Familiarity with software development cycle.
• Familiarity with Subsystem design and test.
• Familiarity with TACC and airworthiness artifacts.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer are a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years of professional/military experience OR Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline
  • Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer are a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of professional/military experience OR Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of professional/military experience
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Familiarity with lab-based testing/integration and air vehicle subsystem design.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with Python programming and Matlab analysis
  • Previous experience with design, development, and/or integration of Air Vehicle systems and subsystems.
  • Experience with DOORS, Confluence, and JIRA.
  • Agile Systems Engineering Experience.
  • Previous Systems Engineering experience.
  • Experience in the military aerospace development environment.
  • Prior airworthiness experience.
  • Integrated Hardware/Software (Subsystem/System Feature) validation experience.
  • Program Cleared
Salary Range: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
