Senior Energy Reporter, LNG Reuters is looking for a driven and ambitious journalist for a high-profile position reporting on Asia’s huge and fast-growing energy markets, focusing on liquefied natural gas production and trade. You will report on liquefied natural gas (LNG) spot prices, long- and short-term supply deals, project development and financing. You will examine the interplay between rising power demand, expanding electricity markets and changing energy transition politics on gas consumption. The successful candidate will break news, spot fresh industry trends, write data-driven stories and generate an outstanding news file that will include ambitious investigative pieces. You should be comfortable writing across a range of topics and formats. You will be required to contribute reporting and writing on the biggest stories of the day on energy and commodities as part of a wider global team. You will be expected to turn around fast-breaking stories in a highly competitive news environment. The role requires the drive and sourcing skills to engage directly with participants in an often opaque market to break news. You will need to be flexible- and ready to expand and adapt coverage in line with the needs of the global team and the changing underlying industry.
