Sr. Web Optimization Specialist


The Web Optimization Specialist will be working in a matrixed environment with multiple key departments and contributors to optimize the website experience and deliver improvements in the overall client experience. The incumbent is responsible for gathering strategic and tactical input, understanding and implementing objectives, and preparing appropriate solutions for NextGen's internal and external clients.

Job Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop NextGen's website strategy, including but not limited to website content, search, design, and usability, to deliver an excellent user experience.
* Design, build, and deploy personalization strategies through varied conversion and optimization testing environments; review testing data results utilizing multiple analysis tools to create specialized client journeys through advanced content campaigns in collaboration with the development team.
* Partner with Corporate Communications, Creative, Content, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) colleagues to determine the web project calendar and optimize the content journey on the website.
* Create flexible components and scalable architecture and manage the prospect journey and lead acquisition through the site.

* Optimize forms and other methodologies of lead acquisition (such as web chat) for experience, conversion rate, and lead quality.
* Identify new opportunities for optimization, testing and growth.
* Collaborate with campaign teams on Account Based Marketing (ABM) strategies for website enhancement experience including, but not limited to landing pages.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create solid strategies based on research, data, and experience.
* Build and maintain reporting on downstream performance of key website assets and content.
* Create and implement short and long-term strategies to increase inbound traffic and conversions.
* Research, evaluate, and recommend new and emerging technologies to leadership team for purchase and implementation consideration.
* Perform keyword research and apply SEO optimization best practices.
* Perform other related duties that support the overall objective of the position.



* Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising, and/or related field.
* Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.



* 4+ years of experience managing websites for Business to Business (B2B) software technology with dedicated experience in website planning, design, development, optimization, and administration.
* 3+ years of experience in building and managing website performance reports utilizing Google Analytics.
* Experience in a variety of web optimization and project management platforms and tools including but not limited to: Salesforce, Pardot, Terminus, A/B Testing (aka Split Testing), heat mapping, SEO and Asana.
* Experience with web technologies such as chat and personalization tools
* Experience working with web development to manage a Content Management System (CMS) - preferably WordPress or Sitecore.
* Experience in website migrations.
* Experience managing a conversion program to drive real change and achieve quantified results.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Knowledge of and basic understanding of HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and ideally Java Script (JS).
* Knowledge of browser and platform compatibility issues.
* Knowledge in a wide variety of digital marketing tools, including but not limited to: Analytics & Reporting, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Pay Per Click (PPC), ABM platforms, Paid Social Media, A/B Testing and Optimization, Email Marketing, SEO, and Content Strategy.
* Knowledge of and understanding of the entire web development process, including design User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) development and deployment.
* Knowledge of and strong understanding of keyword strategy and SEO content best practices.
* Knowledge of educational opportunities, internal or external, to encourage professional advancement and growth.
* Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to website and provide/advise necessary solutions to issues and concerns.
* Ability to provide proven and creative solutions to business/client challengers and technical concerns utilizing excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to identify business needs for process improvement.
* Ability to apply best practices to improve the client and end user experience.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with an ability to communicate ideas to internal team members and present to internal clients.
* Ability to apply independent judgement in decision making and work independently to solve problems.
* Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize workload and multiple projects to meet organizational and client needs, deadlines/timelines.
* Ability to track budgets for assigned programs and/or projects.
* Ability to maintain effective, cooperative, and positive working relationships in the course of business in all working environments.
