The Digital Technology and Innovation group supports the Corporate Strategy, Digital Platform & Innovation Business. Together they work closely to continue evolving Wells Fargo’s digital platforms and enhance integration of the innovation pipeline into our customer-facing capabilities.

Wells Fargo Digital Technology group is seeking a highly skilled Software engineer who will be working on efforts across multiple applications in Sales & Marketing Technology Area including Home Page, Public site pages, online product applications, application fulfillment, tools and calculators etc. The engineer participates in the growth of a framework that has to deliver multi million daily user sessions to very large set of devices used by our diverse customer base, from the oldest web browser to the newest smart watch. Our Mission is to support our company’s Vision & Values by delivering, maintaining, and supporting high quality software solutions that provide our customers with outstanding digital experiences that will help them manage their financial needs.

The successful candidate will act as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex applications and new key strategic initiatives.

The candidate responsibilities will be:

  • Apply Wells Fargo Digital Banking coding practices to test-drive the creation of micro-services with Java, JEE, JUnit, Spring, Restful services.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile development, Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of other technology engineering disciplines and collaborate with other key experts to ensure we are making the right technology choices for Wells Fargo.
  • Work closely with application teams, infrastructure and application teams to maintain applications that are secure and highly scalable/available.
  • Plan, execute, and maintain road-map in alignment with Enterprise Security standards and in accordance to established business SLA's.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of JavaEE experience
  • 5 + years of Java Web Services experience
  • 4 + years of experience with business rules management systems such as: Ilog, Jrules, Blaze, or Drools
  • 2+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API)
  • 2+ years of MQ Series Messaging experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher



Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
  • 4+ years relational database management system (RDBMS) experience
  • 1+ year of experience with in-memory databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra
  • 3+ years of banking industry experience
  • 5+ years of Agile experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Worked with Open API 3.0, JSON schema
  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in managing off property Application Programming Interface (API) orchestration and integration
