The Information and Cyber Security Policy Governance Office’s Security Baselines function is responsible for managing and governing Information Security Baselines across Wells Fargo.  Leveraging technical expertise and following risk management fundamentals, the security baseline team collaborates with technology product owners and other key stakeholders to establish or assess security configuration settings used to safeguard technology products. To be effective, security baseline team members must maintain constant awareness of and account for financial regulatory requirements, industry best practices for securing products, and business objectives.  

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS):

  • Translates policy requirements into security configuration settings
  • Modifies CIS Benchmarks secure configuration guides to align with Wells Fargo’s risk tolerance
  • Ensures service delivery, oversight, and governance processes are performed in accordance with requirements
  • Serves as the primary interface with asset class owners, governance teams, and product owners
  • Serves as the primary interface to data providers for data requirements, synchronization, and reporting needs
  • Provides guidance to junior team members 
  • Works in small teams, large working groups, and independently 
  • Adapts to change while prioritizing effectively and delivering high quality work in tight timeframes 
  • May facilitate large group efforts, drive consensus, and resolve conflicts between security and business objectives

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology experience
  • 5+ years of security configuration, baseline, or hardening experience
  • 5+ years of risk identification and documentation experience
  • 2+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with small and large business units in a large corporate environment
  • 2 + years cyber security analysis experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple medium technology development efforts within a major line of business
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Business consultation experience in defining key performance metrics, dashboards, or scorecards
  • 1+ year of project management experience
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change
  • Knowledge and understanding of information security management, audit, compliance, and risk
  • Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; and identifying issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinations
  • Meeting facilitation experience in leading discussions that result in consensus and commitment
  • Leadership experience
  • Agile experience
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
