The Microsoft Store has become one of the largest worldwide retailers of Microsoft products and is poised for significant growth in the next five years. To fuel our continued growth, we are seeking a Director of Worldwide Hardware Category Management who will lead the 1st Party Products portfolio (Surface & Xbox) and will be accountable for product assortment line logic, global product launches, go-to-market pricing decisions, seasonal promotion strategy, and topline revenue and gross margin for each category.

How you can make an impact:
Manage the P&L and deliver on annual and quarterly revenue commitments.
Develop the category strategy with a digital-first approach & position Microsoft Stores as the best destination to discover, learn and buy Surface & Xbox.
Use your collaboration, innovation, and business skills to evolve our relationships with internal partners and find new avenues for sustainable growth.
Deliver product, category, and customer insights to colleagues within Stores and to leaders across Microsoft through weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.

Drive thought leadership on where our business needs to head by staying up to date and keenly understanding industry trends and consumer behavior changes in market.
Foster a culture of inclusion and lead direct reports with a model, coach & care ideology.
Category Strategy: Accountable for the 1st Party Products assortment strategy, including product line logic, price and promotion plans and marketplace differentiation.
Financial Management: Accountable for the 1st Party Products P&L. Achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets. Partner with Finance on long-range category planning and in season forecasts.
People Management: Lead a team of 4 highly capable and driven individuals. Support their career development, foster a culture of psychological safety and help prepare them for future leadership roles.
Business Acumen: Understand the details of the business and deliver valuable insights to Stores colleagues & senior leaders within Microsoft.
Executive Communication: Drive conversations at an executive level within Stores and internal partner organizations.
Internal Collaboration: Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure we are their best and most trusted partner. Ensure our voice is being heard, valued and asked for.
5+ years of managing high functioning teams in a dynamic and changing environment.
