JR0158852 - SoC Design Engineer
The Atom CPU Team is looking for a highly motivated and technically savvy experienced leader to join our team as a Senior Power Delivery Engineer. We are looking for an Engineer interested in a cross functional role between circuit design and physical integration for enabling the complete power delivery solution and reliability convergence for the next generation Atom cores. This will be a fast-paced dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to work on a wide spectrum of circuit and physical design activities.
Primary roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform feasibility study, design verification/simulation/extraction of power distribution network and sign off
Work with SoC team and power management architects to define and design power gate solutions
Define bump patterns, on-die power grid
Provide feedback to silicon, package, and board design group for improvement
Create design guides and routing rules for specific interfaces
EM and IR drop analysis
Work with package integration team to ensure complete IP system meets interface industry specification
Provide customer support in debug of power distribution network related IP integration issues

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Candidate must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering with 7+ years of experience in a high-tech company in: - OR - a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering and 10+ years of experience in a high-tech company in: - OR - a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering 12+ years of experience in a high-tech company in:
Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI)
Complementary MOS (CMOS) circuits design
Digital logic and optimizations
Circuit design trade-off for power, performance and area
2+ years of experience with:
Power Delivery design, implementation and validation
Low power implementation techniques
Apache RedHawk or equivalent commercial tool for EM and IR drop analysis
