Program Manager
B&A is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team on a Federal project in Suitland, MD!

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a leader who can develop people, build relationships with our customer, hold people accountable, relentlessly improves, and can foster an environment that delivers results, values people and cultivates innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Manager (PM) is our single point of accountability for the successful delivery of a major project. As such, the PM is responsible for:

Service Delivery – the PM is responsible for working with the client and technical teams to establish standard processes and methods for service delivery that are followed across the project.

Project Management – the PM is responsible for developing and maintaining the Project management framework for the contract. They are responsible to ensuring all contract deliverables are delivered on time and at acceptable levels of quality. They manage the contract quality assurance program and ensure our team is focused on relentless improvement of team performance and customer results.

Customer Relationship Management – the PM is responsible for establishing a collaborative and trusting relationship with his/her government counterpart and fostering that relationship at all levels.

Talent Management – the PM is responsible for ensuring that the Project is always fully staffed. They ensure that our team is recruiting and retaining top talent. They are responsible for the professional development of the entire team, making sure team members are receiving the training they require to do their jobs and to develop as professionals. They are responsible for cultivating employee engagement, to maximize employee retention.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in relevant software development and project management experience
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP); experienced with CMMI and ITIL industry best practices.
At least 5 years’ experience leading application development, operations and maintenance contracts.
Experience leading and coordinating multiple development/O&M teams supporting different customers with different priorities using standard processes and methods.
Ability to identify approaches, risks, mitigation strategies to meet client/functional requirements
Experience designing and delivering to a detailed Quality Management Plan
Consulting skills required with excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Experience managing project budgets, monitoring funding levels, and working with clients to effectively deliver quality work within approved budgets.
Experience supporting HR.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

10 years’ experience in relevant software development and project management experience
Agile certification (e.g. Agile Certified Project Manager; Certified Scrum Master; SAFe Certification)
ITIL certification
Experience with HR applications
Experience with Financial applications
Experience at Bureau of U.S. Census
