America is not post racial: the role of black technologists in social justice.

This one-hour discussion will provide a brief overview of ThoughtWorks, but will mainly focus on social and economic justice. We'll also explore how our mission transforms our work, helps shape the software industry, and grows role models for future black technologists.

For the past 20 years, ThoughtWorks has attempted to correct years of racism in the technology industry. We need your voice to help continue to influence and change the tech world. Please join us to help shape the future of our industry.

We will discuss questions like:
  • Why do over 30% of people of color now believe that affirmative action is no longer needed?
  • If you had a magic wand and could convince white people to do anything, what would you do to create economic equality?
