Hi there,

Whether you are working on your application for the Foreign Affairs Information Technology (FAIT) Fellowship, or you are considering applying, here's an opportunity to hear directly from Foreign Service Information Management Specialists (IMS) and to ask your questions about the FAIT Fellowship program and what it's like working in the Foreign Service.

Join us on Thursday, November 12, 3-4 p.m. (EST), for our webinar, Q&A Panel Session: Foreign Service Information Management Specialists.

The FAIT Fellowship is a path to an exciting career in the U.S. Foreign Service, providing academic funding (up to $75,000), internships with stipends, professional development, and, ultimately, an appointment (full-time position) as a Foreign Service Information Management Specialist (IMS).

Seeking to attract top tech talent to the Foreign Service that reflects the diversity of the United States, the State Department encourages women, members of minority groups underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and students with financial need, to apply to this fulfilling and rewarding program.

Our panelists for this webinar are:

Akvile Kiskis, who is now at her first post as a Foreign Service IMS at the U.S. Embassy Beirut in Lebanon, completed the FAIT Fellowship program in 2019, after earning her master's degree in Cyber Security and Forensics from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She'll talk about her experiences in the FAIT Fellowship and entering the Foreign Service.

Laura Williams joined the State Department as a Foreign Service IMS in 2001, and has had overseas assignments in Cyprus, Algeria, Italy and Mexico. She is currently the Deputy Director of IT Customer Support at the Department of State, and she will talk about her experiences in the Foreign Service.

William Hagan joined the State Department as a Foreign Service IMS in 2004, serving mainly in Africa and the Western Hemisphere. He is currently a FAIT Fellowship Program Manager and an IT Recruiter at the Department of State. William will also share his experiences in the Foreign Service.

The webinar will be recorded, so if are not able to attend at this time, you'll be able to register for the on-demand recording on the FAITFellowship.org website.
