Earlier this summer, Thurgood Marshall College (TMCF) and Hennessy launched the Hennessy Fellows program. Thanks to a $10 million investment from Hennessy over the next ten years, we select 10 high-achieving, high-potential HBCU graduate students and provide soft skill resources, corporate development experiences and financial assistance up to $40,000. Experiences include training forums and networking to enhance the exchange of ideas, and direct exposure to the inter-relatedness of corporate, social and economic systems.
In June, we selected our first cohort of Fellows who came from four TMCF member-school MBA programs (Florida A&M University, Howard University, Morgan State University, and North Carolina A&T State University). So far, they have had online leadership development courses and assessments as well as the Hennessy Fellows professional development boot camp in New York City this summer.
We are proud to announce we are expanding the scope of students that can apply to now include more graduate programs! In addition to your best MBA students, we are looking for talented students pursuing corporate-relevant majors such as Masters of Finance, Accounting, Technology, Supply Chain, Communications, Human Resource Management, Computer Science & Information Systems, Math, Economics, Engineering, and Law/J.D., enrolled at an accredited HBCU.
The application for the second cohort of Hennessy Fellows is now open and we really need your help spreading the word about the program to help us identify very best group of HBCU graduate students for this unique opportunity.
