Jazz and Poetry - Dichotomy - Kamal Imani

Posted By: Kamal Imani on November 27, 2020

Freedom VS Ideology.

The unorthodox guru breaks down what must be done to be free via spoken word poetry.
lyrics
How can I be free?
When I'm living in a dichotomy?
Now don't get me wrong, I can let my perspective shift, to mindfulness
Zen Buddhism and Oneness, I can meditate and feel the Creator's gift of bliss
and even the scribes that say that we were born sinners, shoot their best shot and miss
Now who's matrix is this?
Metaphysicinss say you will have to take the red pill or the blue pill
or the choice is the garden or the fire
Some say to make it, you have to have desire
and others say desire is the way to unhappiness
So why do we even listen to all of this?
why can't we just be -----free
free from dichotomy?
paradoxes and paradigms
is modern day schitzophrenia just a part of capitalist cultural design?
Is it about the soul? or is it about the mind?
Should we be exoteric or esoteric?
are we physical or metaphysical?
Did karmic vibratory waves connect you to me and me to you?
Now where is the manual? What are we to do?
questions...all of these questions?
Well, don't you despair
cause when you have questions, the answers are already there
Meditate and they will appear
See sometimes, we just gotta get up outta here
and be free
