Clark Atlanta Places Trio on All-SIAC Track & Field Team
Posted By: Elynor Moss on May 03, 2017

Ahead of the conference championship meet, the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released the selections for the All-SIAC Team. Clark Atlanta was recognized with three selections - one runner and two field event participants - who will vie for the SIAC titles in the events this week from Albany, Ga.

Curshonne Johnson owns the fastest time in the SIAC for the 3,000-Steeplechase having completed the event in 12:48.14 from Georgia Tech on April 21. She is one of two runners to eclipse 13 minutes in the event this season.

Jazmine Bowser has cleared 5'4.25" in the High Jump to have the top mark for the SIAC this season. Her effort came on April 1 from Jacksonville State during the Choccolocco Challenge when she took runner up in the event.

Krystal Bobo leads the SIAC in the Hammer Throw covering a distance of 131'11" from the Choccolocco Challenge where she was fifth overall. Her throw is more than nine feet better than that of her closest competitor.

The 2017 SIAC Track & Field Championship is set to take place May 4-6 at Hugh Mills Stadium on the campus of Albany State University in Albany, Ga. For more information, CLICK HERE.
