Fayetteville State University’s Online Early Childhood Degree Program ranked No. 3 nationally by Best Degree Programs

Fayetteville State University’s online Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (Birth through Kindergarten) degree program was recently ranked #3 nationally among 102 accredited colleges and universities that offer similar programs by Best Degree Programs. Best Degree Programs is known as a premier resource guide to locate degrees that fit career goals at the nation’s top colleges and universities.

By utilizing the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) College Navigator tool, which consists primarily of the latest data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Best Degree Programs identified a pool of 102 schools. They further reviewed these schools’ rankings received from major publications such as Forbes magazine, The Princeton Review, and U.S. News and World Report.

The pool was then narrowed to the most affordable schools based on tuition information from College Navigator and published in an article entitled “30 Best Online Bachelor’s in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education 2017.” http://bit.ly/2jHOWK7

Fayetteville State University’s online bachelor’s in early childhood education focuses on birth through kindergarten and leads to a non-teaching degree. Two minors are available, including psychology or sociology. All courses are taught by faculty who routinely teach at the Fayetteville campus. Courses include birth-to-kindergarten curriculum development, current issues and trends in early education, education of exceptional children, foundations of multicultural education, introduction to social work, and teaching the child with special needs.
