Using the Potential of the Internet to Grow Business

The Internet can almost be called an equalizer for budding entrepreneurs as well as seasoned veterans. Being from the former group, I have spent thousands of dollars trying to find that formula for success; that magic bullet that will help me turn my finance and my life around so quickly that it will make my head spin.
And guess what? ? ? ? As we all know . . . . it doesn't exist! ! !
Yes. The Internet has the power and potential to help us all achieve our objectives and goals. The Internet opens our businesses and services up to a global market. And the successful entrepreneur will harness this power and reap great rewards, not just in monetary terms, but also in the quality of life. But as we all know, but sometimes try to deny, THERE IS NO QUICK, MAGIC PATH TO OVERNIGHT SUCCESS. There never was, and there never will be.
What I have learned over the years is that Internet marketing and business building, like any other business endeavor takes effort, patience, dedication, and focus, just like any other commitment . . . . basically some sense of a sound work ethic. Now, I'm not saying that I have all that. And I have lost a lot of money, some in pretty good programs and some in garbage. But my main problem has been one key element . . . . ME NOT DOING THE WORK ! ! !
Being successful with Internet business or marketing efforts requires, among other things, a pretty consistent work ethic. Yes, I do believe that once an individual achieves that level of success - through consistent effort - he or she will be able to reap the rewards of that effort, but the effort must be put forth.
Many of us are used to employment and consistent work effort that comes with employment.
We think that being an independent entrepreneur - particularly through the Internet - will be an easy way out of our financial and personal challenges. And it is for many. But when you see the really successful people, you will find that they all put in a lot of effort to obtain their success.
So, what would we need?
Well for one thing, many of us will definitely have to develop a completely new way of thinking - a new mind-set. Working in the Internet business universe is really different from what we are accustomed to, and it will require a completely new way of looking at our work habits and thinking. Of course, if one has good work habits, he or she would be able to transfer that ethic to an Internet-based enterprise. But we will not be able to side-step the effort needed to achieve consistency or success.
Secondly, one a good source of seasoned "professionals" who are willing to share their experiences and know-how would be great. It's not enough to find links to e-books or videos, although they have a very useful and beneficial purpose as we begin to re-shape our business thinking. A supportive sponsoring structure that will encourage you, help you correct your mistakes and direct you to resources that will help you build your goals would be essential.
Thirdly, a supportive community of Internet entrepreneurs like yourself would be equally essential. Individuals from different walks of life, some with similar experiences would be an added source of support, camaraderie, and shared information to help everyone achieve as much success as possible.
There are many good programs in the Internet Universe. And there are a lot of pipe dreams. One strong resource that I've found provides the elements mentioned above and much more.
