You will work at Radiometer in New Brighton, MN, US. Radiometer has its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

You will direct and coordinate process improvement activities with our current consumable product lines with associated costs, quality and yields. Support future process development needs for new and existing products! Support capacity expansion and future growth through equipment and process validation to support productivity improvements. Participate as a key member of the Operations Management Team for activities with focus on process validation and lean, continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, process efficiencies and cost improvements. Partner with Carlsbad Ops, R&D and RMED Ops & Engineering to drive both current and future process development and cost reduction priorities consistent with the organizational goals and objectives. Lead cross site automation strategy with support of automation engineering staff to support growth and gross margin expansion.

Responsible for operational excellence via effective implementation of formalized problem solving to ensure continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production! Manage all engineering projects and resolve manufacturing engineering problems.

Responsibilities

• Direct an Engineering team of 7+ engineers and technicians to support Value Stream teams & objectives mainly in quality, capacity and productivity to meet production requirements

• Direct the Engineering teams qualification efforts of new equipment including definition and execution of IQ/OQ/PQ validation requirements using sound statistical methods

• Apply a methodical, experienced-based, and efficient approach to problem solving (PSP) including the ability to effectively analyze product performance data to resolve identified problems and develop sound corrective actions

• Lead automation strategy to optimize productivity and gross margin expansion

• Mentor engineers to utilize the DBS tools (PSP, VSM, 5S, SW, VM, 3P & VRK) to facilitate increased knowledge and accountability within Value Streams to achieve production repeatability and predictability

• Provide leadership to all engineering associates to promote career growth and develop high performing teams, through hands on technical management, guidance and support

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

• 12+ years experience in engineering including 7+ years of engineering leadership

• Strong team leadership and group management skills to lead technical teams

• Possess an in-depth knowledge of design of experiments, statistical modeling, be data driven to drive process and continuous improvement and have a working knowledge of software tools such as Microsoft Project, JMP Statistical Analysis, Mini-Tab or similar to enable mentoring of staff

• Strong technical background and hands-on experience in solving large scale technical problems

• Advanced Statistics knowledge & application

• Advanced Degree in Engineering or related discipline
