About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant within Wells Fargo Merchant Services.

This role will lead execution of product enhancement initiatives, new product commercialization initiatives, and / or business programs in partnership with key stakeholders and partner organizations, while adhering to compliance / privacy and risk policies.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of project execution experience: product knowledge, electronic payment experience 
  • 3 + years of financial services
  • 4 + years of electronic payment industry experience. 
  • Experience in Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, Business Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Demonstrated project delivery experience commercializing new business opportunities from concept to reality, with an emphasis on meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in electronic payments or payment card industry or merchant acquiring.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex products that require understanding of underlying platform functionality, transaction processing flows, data transmission technology, and/or business services/ API/ SDK technology.
  • Track record of working effectively in a team environment, across all organizational levels, matrix managing others, and building superior partnerships with a broad set of partners.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting detailed requirements/user stories, developing project plans, managing issues to resolution, and documenting clear/concise meeting minutes.
  • Ability to tactically drive multiple initiatives, solve problems, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and learn quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Expectations:

  • Lead execution of product enhancement initiatives, new product commercialization initiatives, and / or business programs in partnership with key stakeholders and partner organizations, while adhering to compliance / privacy and risk policies.
  • Develop business requirements/user stories (when necessary), project plans, resolve project or business issues, and may include providing recommendations for product or process enhancements.
  • Provides leadership to project teams, identifies project goals, objectives, deliverables, constraints and issues, monitors completion of tasks to ensure that project goals are achieved.
  • Identifies opportunities, summarizes benefit analysis, competitive research, and presents to leadership team to gain consensus, set priorities, and secure resources.
  • Develop metrics such as project scorecards to track performance of initiatives and programs; Develop executive summaries to provide overall status of initiatives/programs to senior management.
  • May include managing risk mitigation initiatives and programs to support operational, process improvement, change management, vendor/digital property management, records management, issue monitoring/reporting, model management/reporting, and audit coordination activities.

Salary range is determined by location of the job.  May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long – term incentive awards.
