Delivery Manager - Watson Health

Your Role and Responsibilities
The Delivery Manager – Watson Health works closely with the Service Delivery team, Offering Management and Sales departments to oversee the effective configuration, implementation, deployment, and use of services and products. This can include, but not limited to, product configuration, installation coordination, product training, project plan authoring, coordination, process documentation or assistance with Go-Live activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Accountability for, and focus on, defined annual Services Objectives for the Services Delivery Team

  • Efficient and effective throughput of implementation and other professional services projects for timely revenue recognition and maximum customer satisfaction

  • Project-level coordination with Development and other Delivery Managers

  • Collaborate with Customer Support Services, Sales, and Offering Management on customer issues and other concerns

  • Facilitate operations testing of solution enhancements, product changes and tasks as needed

  • Define and maintain project plans, project workflow and implementation documentation

  • Accurately document all historical points, issues, special product configurations or client accommodations of note for all implementation and clinical engagements

  • Maintain relationships and communications with customer senior management, Sales, Client Relations Managers, and Project Management throughout the duration of service delivery responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for value added revenue during the project lifecycle

  • Contribute to project team process improvement initiatives

  • Support costing discussions and pricing opportunities where needed

  • Successfully manage more complex projects i.e. organizational initiatives, product customizations, early adopter engagements, etc.

  • Manage project scope, including project deliverables, timelines, client responsibilities and expectations, to pre-defined project financials

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and continuous learning; stay current on IBM strategies and offerings with understanding of technical principles and how they contribute to the overall solution.

  • Advise and mentor other professionals

  • Define approaches and goals to existing workflow

  • Demonstrate innovation by suggesting changes for projects and department wide initiatives

  • Provide direction and influence cross functional teams


EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Coordinate all activities for product upgrades and rollout

  • Drive improvement activities to reduce project cycle time

  • Track and communicate project status to finance, account teams, and client

  • Track and manage to budget

  • Drive resolution of project issues

Required Technical and Professional Expertise



  • Minimum 3-8 years of healthcare IT or healthcare project management experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred

  • Demonstrated track record of successful customer service delivery relationships required

  • Demonstrated positive outcomes resulting from past healthcare systems consulting and/or project management experiences

  • Proficient with project tracking tools (e.g., ABT Workbench, Microsoft Project)

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent writing, verbal, and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage scope creep



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise



  • Minimum 4-10 years of healthcare IT or healthcare project management experience preferred

  • Master’s degree preferred
