Digital Workflow Product Marketing Manager - Semiconductor

Division Specific Information:

The Semiconductor Business Unit provides solutions for customers in pathfinding, yield learning, and failure analysis of semiconductor processes and manufacturing. As a member of this team you will work with companies on the leading edge of semiconductor innovation as they develop and characterize the processes that will lead to the technologies of tomorrow. You will collaborate closely with customers and other internal Thermo Fisher groups, such as sales, finance, and R&D, to drive revenue and develop roadmaps for future products.

How will you make an impact?

The Workflow Product Marketing Manager is responsible for product definition, roadmap, driving customer adoption, and delivering revenue and profitability for a workflow solution connecting DualBeam sample preparation to final TEM analysis of semiconductor samples. In this role you will collaborate closely with customers and other internal Thermo Fisher groups such as sales, finance, and R&D.

Position Summary:

This is an opportunity for an experienced marketing professional with familiarity with FIB/SEM DualBeams and TEM to define and create products that improve the efficiency and productivity of Semiconductor Labs. The Workflow PMM will drive requirements to both DualBeam and TEM development organizations. They will define value in improved connectivity between systems.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Collect Voice of the Customer (VOC) input through direct communication with customers, account managers, and applications engineers to identify how customers use DualBeams and TEMs to get the data they need and how that workflow can be improved though physical and software connectivity.
  • Create Market Requirements Documents (MRD) that are used by engineering to develop future products and a strong roadmap.
  • Define go to market launch plans and how to position new products for specific semiconductor market segments
  • Interface with organizations responsible for defining standards in the semiconductor industry
  • Develop compelling presentations and collateral that conveys a clear value proposition
  • Forecast revenue projections over a 1-5 year horizon
  • Attend conferences and trade shows, product launches and webinars.
  • Travel as needed to visit with customers and other Thermo Fisher sites.


  • University degree in Materials Science, Chemistry or Physics, an advanced degree is preferred and / or Masters in Business Administration
  • 8 or more years experience with knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and the use of FIB/SEM DualBeams and TEMs
  • Enthusiastic, clear communication skills both written and verbal with diverse audiences are critical to the success of this position
  • Excellent customer interfacing skills is a must.
  • Proven ability to interact with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 35%), ability to obtain a valid passport.
