YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE…
• A Program Manager – participates in the development and supervises the implementation of medical education and advisory programs.  Programs include physician training seminars, on-label symposia, roundtables, advisory boards, KOL management, investigator meetings and workshops
• Communications Partner - manages internal and develops and manages network of external resources appropriate to the successful completion of program objectives

• Work with Medical Communications colleagues to establish platforms and faculty for such programs, and will develop and/or supervise the development of all associated collateral materials
• Be responsible for developing and/or supervising program trafficking systems, client reporting mechanisms, and Medical Communications databases
• Interface with key advisors and investigators, as well as colleagues in marketing and sales communications and promotion in the execution of his/her duties
• Be responsible for managing expenditures
• Build agency teamwork and supervise account exec activities to achieve agency goals

Strategic Communications’ responsibilities are specific to the areas of Physician engagement to support the brand marketing objectives and strategies; this includes advisory boards, speaker bureau content/training communications, Webcasts, HCP engagement plans, and implementation of peer-to-peer tactics. This agency, account services, position critically works cross-functionally with teams to support and produce output in the aforementioned areas. 

Responsibilities also include:

  • Brand, industry, competition, and target audience knowledge
  • Working knowledge of internal agency processes and MLR approval processes
  • Understand Client marketing objectives, challenges, and opportunities
  • Accurately assess situations and proactively make recommendations consistent with the Clients' overall marketing objectives and needs
  • Ensure projects stay on-strategy, on-time, and on-budget; set and manage Client and internal agency expectations accordingly
  • Interface with key advisors and investigators, as well as colleagues in marketing and sales communications and promotion, in the execution of his/her duties
  • Responsible for managing expenditures related to assigned projects
  • Manage and mentor junior account team members
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities and be adaptable when faced with challenges



  • At least 4 years in strategic healthcare communications/medical education, pharmaceutical account service management or closely related work experience
  • Knowledge of communications organizations systems 
  • Knowledge of medical education protocols and event planning, as well as demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Peer to Peer medical communications experience is desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Significant Work Activities
Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
