Manager, Payroll Implementation Lead

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Manager, Payroll Solutions Implementation Lead. The primary location is New Brunswick, NJ. We will consider US remote workers who can travel to New Brunswick, NJ as needed.

Position Summary:

As Global Payroll Solutions Implementation Lead, you will lead the business implementation of ADP global payroll solutions. You will provide a best practice use of the GlobalView and Celergo payroll systems, and will provide global guidance on the system design. You will facilitate country business requirements being translated into technical solutions to promote process and product excellence during payroll transformation journey to single Vendor. The position is considered subject matter expert in technologies enabling payroll processes. As a senior-level contributor, you are expected to work with  cross-functional business leaders to drive to the new way of working. The job will support stakeholders in all time zones globally, you may be required to be flexible with your work schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate discovery sessions with country SMEs to obtain key system and process information that feeds into blueprint/design phase of the payroll solution
  • Lead the payroll system solution design in partnership with Service Delivery, Payroll vendor, J&J IT and other key stakeholders
  • Shape and adhere to established global standards and templates for the use of payroll technologies
  • Translate and govern the business requirements into User Stories and Blueprint documents
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and help architect end-to-end solutions for each payroll market globally with the use of Payroll technology, middleware, HR technology, Intelligent Automation, CRM   
  • Maintain solution design documents and Decision Records for all payroll implantations globally
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and effort engage at appropriate level to ensure that the developed product meets the documented requirements
  • Collaborate with the testing team to provide oversight and governance on completeness of product SDLC and traceability matrix
  • Support sustainability framework for ongoing changes to the payroll solution post deployment in a 3-tier model
  • Partner with cross-functional workstreams to execute Continuous Improvement initiatives in Service Delivery to accomplish efficiency and process excellence
  • Lead in a highly matrixed environment. Respond to local requirements and connect the dots and engage appropriate partners in order deliver a sustainable solution that will meet the local needs
  • Work independently and simultaneously engage into multiple projects running in parallel
  • Work closely with Compliance to ensure adherence of key Compliance requirements with respect to SOX controls, Key controls, Operational controls, User Access, Audits, Reconciliations

Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant technology experience in Payroll solutions is required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in HR/Payroll processes is required
  • Experience delivering large scale/global projects from concept through delivery and operations is required
  • Domain expertise in Payroll technology and solution at global scale is required
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple partners, and establish common goals and objectives without sacrificing outcomes
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills required. The ability to understand target audiences and translate complex concepts into clear and concise messages is required
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, is flexible, collaborative and deadline driven
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail, laser focused approach on delivery of results is required
  • Proven ability to take a complex business requirement and break it down into technical solutions is required
  • Analytical mindset, critical thinking, problem solving skills are required
  • High level proficiency as solution architect in SAP HR/Payroll is required
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and SharePoint is required
  • Experience in ADP GlobalView, Celergo, SAP Time, Kronos, eTime, HANA  is preferred
  • Experience in Workday, middleware, Salesforce Service Cloud, Veeva document management is preferred
  • Experience in testing tools and methodologies (eg. X-Ray, ALM) is preferred
  • Experience in automation tools (eg. Alteryx, Winshuttle, webmethods) is preferred
  • Technical certification in any of the above technologies is a plus
  • Experience in Inhouse, Outsourced and Co-sourced payroll service delivery models is preferred
  • The position requires working with Global teams in NA, EMEA, LATAM and ASPAC time zones. Approximately up to 25% travel may be required (domestic and/or international)
