Senior Manager, US Marketing Development Programs

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health Organization, a part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of companies, is recruiting for a Senior Manager, US Marketing Development Programs.  

The Senior Manager, US Marketing Development Programs and Early in Career (EIC) is a key strategic leadership role within Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health Organization. The individual will be responsible for shaping our end-to-end development strategy and enabling world-class delivery for our US marketing functions, inclusive of our marketing leadership development programs and early talent pipeline programs (co-op, internship, and MBA associates). The role will focus on the design, continuous improvement, and delivery of development program offerings, working with internal and external partners to bring them to life and mobilize with our teams to accelerate our business, capability, and talent/DE&I strategies. The individual will collaborate with peers, Marketing/CxO/Dx leadership, HR, and other stakeholders to design and deploy targeted programs that meet all learning needs and enhance on-the-job effectiveness. This role will also be accountable for oversight and management of our Consumer Health Marketing recruitment efforts for our Early in Career programs, including our external value positioning, university relations, and partnership management.

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Strategic and operations mindset - Flex between thinking strategically about the needs of the Marketing organization and talent portfolio, as well as a consistent emphasis on optimizing program operations
•    Talent management/succession mindset - Knowledgeable on key talent trends and business needs and will consult with sector BUHR and GTM on an as-needed basis
•    Design focus - Drive rigor in the instructional and experience design process to ensure the development of multi-modal learning and development resources, including integration of internal resources and management of external instructional designers
•    Needs focus - Focus on the evolving needs of the Marketing organization for existing programs as internal/external environments change, ensuring the content and earner experience remain relevant and will enable our leaders/marketers to bring their best energy and leadership to their current and future roles
•    Relationship management - Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with a diverse array of employees, colleagues, leadership, and external partners
•    Collaboration - Work closely with external delivery partners as well as internal stakeholders, partners, and teams
•    Communications - Develop and manage Marketing materials and content to drive interest/attraction, in partnership with J&J Communication Partners. Create internal communications to support program processes. Present and update leadership and key stakeholders on program status and impact
•    Capability building - priorities talent development solutions focused on learning, enablement and building organizational capability aligned to strategic priorities
•    Influences and/or implements talent management tools, methodologies, and principles (e.g., skills assessments, organizational diagnostics, etc) to improve decision-making and management of talent, in partnership with other functions
•    Future Focused - This person will develop and implement an ongoing strategy to ensure that the marketing employees have the training and competencies necessary to succeed in the marketing world of the future


•    Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent degree preferred
•    At least 8 years of relevant business experience required
•    3+ years of people management experience preferred
•    Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict, influence teams, and build relationships in meeting organizational objectives, without formal authority is required
•    Ability to balance challenge with support and drive alignment across teams
•    Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
•    Anticipates challenges and problems and proactively takes action to address them
•    Ability to facilitate decisions based on multiple sometimes conflicting perspectives
•    Proficiency in project and change management tools and techniques is required
•    Supporting all of our US Consumer Health campuses (CA, NJ, PA, FL), up to 20% domestic travel required
