Program Manager - Smart Buildings & Innovation Test Lab
JOB SUMMARY  

As the Program Manager of the Smart Buildings Innovation Test Lab, you will be responsible for the management and prioritization of Software and Hardware reviews. You will work with leadership and peers to deliver high quality testing reviews, POCs and pilots of emerging technology.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Organize, develop, prioritize, and assign resources to deliver high quality, testable and scalable software & hardware solutions within established timelines, while adhering to Smart Buildings Innovation Test Lab best practices and processes.

Lead the development, project designs, and enforce technical standards to ensure solutions execute correctly across various supported environments (i.e., Cloud providers, Edge environments, browsers, devices, operating systems).

Proactively leads and solicits the involvement of other project stakeholders (e.g., managers, developers, product managers, end users) to ensure implementation satisfies functional requirements and is consistent with established CSI Test Lab standards.

Proactively leads and solicits the involvement of other project stakeholders (e.g., managers, developers, product managers, end users) to ensure implementation satisfies functional requirements and is consistent with established CSI Test Lab standards.

Manage and lead project scoping and scheduling; tracks progress of individual tasks and alerts executive management and stakeholders of concerns meeting schedules, while following established Test Lab standards.

Manage product quality standards by ensuring functional, unit and performance testing is comprehensive and thorough; works closely with development and testing teams to verify test plans. 

When the test lab introduces new and emerging tech to the client for use on the clients established network, you will work with the DSRE team in accordance with their processes for testing and approval.

Maintain accountability for the entire life cycle of the test, POC, or Pilot, including support for both internal (CBRE) and external(client) consumers.

Ensure the quality of design and technical documentation to satisfy both internal and external consumers.

Provide technical leadership as appropriate for projects and to the team through mentoring, training, and working in and with cross functional teams.

Facilitates regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects (project pipeline). Collaborates with core team to develop solutions and leads project team through implementation and completion.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE  

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Minimum four years of related experience. Prior Supervisory experience preferred.

Experience with Project Management, Operations Management, Information Technology and/or Building Technology is preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES  

PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS  

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE  

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES  

Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.

Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY  

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
