Procurement Materials Manager|
The Procurement Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Supply Chain buyers who procure materials for new and existing products, manage inventory levels, and resolve material supply issues to ensure the site maintains a state of material readiness. This individual will support and develop Supply chain purchasing strategies within the group and work closely with Global Procurement to ensure supplier relations are maintained. This individual will also be responsible for supporting initiatives across the site, developing internal talent and achieving supply metrics.
+ Leads the supply chain purchasing team to manage materials planning, Material Availability, Supplier Engagement, supplier performance Management & related SAP data.
+ Understand demand requirements • Monitor receipts and transfers ensuring timely delivery and availability of product as well as in accordance with the inventory plan.
+ Develop, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive internal logistics and functional performance improvements
+ Optimization of Purchasing systems and supply strategies.
+ Lead efforts to look for alternate sourcing for key materials and components
+ Own supplier delivery schedule & manage performance targets.
+ Timely management of reschedule signals.
+ Materials Budget development and management
+ Drive periodic review of vendor lead time, GR processing time, safety stock, etc.
+ Timely resolution of invoice queries and exception reports
+ Approval of purchasing orders for materials.
+ Oversee daily operation of the site purchasing team; coach and develop team members to ensure flexibility of operations and improve engagement and individual colleague development
+ Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain/purchasing leadership role.
+ Master's degree with 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain/purchasing leadership role.
+ Very strong leadership skills including team facilitation, training, and motivation.
+ Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical environment
+ Relevant experience in a Supply Chain, or Procurement preferably in biotech/pharmaceutical environment
+ Experience of SAP is required.
+ Strong knowledge of operational and financial analysis
+ Strong interpersonal skills
+ Project Planning and organizational skills are essential.
+ Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as working autonomously.
+ APICS, CPM, or CPSM Certifications
+ Perform all duties in a manner that aligns to Pfizer company values.
+ Sitting, standing, walking, bending.
+ Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations/understands formulas within a software package (i.e. Excel, JMP)
+ Ability to perform complex data analysis with respect to financials, scheduling, cost of goods, etc.
**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**
The role typically works a routine weekly work schedule but requires some overtime based on product demands and market environment. 0-5% travel may be required.
