Alliance Manager- Companion Diagnostics

In this position you will be responsible for relationship management and contractual support for ongoing Companion Diagnostic (CDx) programs utilizing Leicas Advanced Staining and Imaging technologies, with key Pharma partners. This position ensures successful program alliance throughout the course of CDx development. This role also collaborates with the Business Development and Program Management teams to ensure efficient contracting and business expansion for existing programs as well as new revenue streams. This is a great opportunity to use your deep expertise and knowledge of CDx to provide mutually agreeable solutions to support pharmaceutical programs which lead to long term profitable business.

Responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Manage pharma partnership and alliance with an emphasis on programs in later stage CDx development, establishing and maintaining key relationships within the pharma partner organizations through creative and compliant application of existing processes and excellent communication.

  • Understand and effectively engage in a wide range of functional areas including Legal, IP, Finance, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Program Management, and Alliance Management in order to develop and maintain effective companion diagnostic partnerships and involve relevant key partners.

  • Work closely with program Business Development lead to ensure understanding and compliance with contractual obligations and with Program Management to coordinate communication. Reference and uphold contractual obligations of the partners for ongoing programs.

  • Understand and balance both internal and external partner needs and perspectives while advocating for partners in project discussions. Provide coaching to internal stakeholders on partner concerns and perspectives to achieve alignment. Serve as an advocate representing internal business considerations in discussions with the partner.

  • Foster relationships with crucial pharma account to obtain repeat business leading to revenue expansion.

  • Demonstrate excellent presentation and collaborative communication skills to manage Joint Steering Committees under Governance model.

  • Has in depth knowledge of and maintains an ongoing familiarity with healthcare market sectors and competing products/technologies.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matters most for this role:

  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of the companion diagnostics development process including IVD product development, Design Control, oncology clinical trial strategies, and the current regulatory landscape of companion diagnostics in various global regions.

  • CDx experience in the following functions: Alliance Management, Program/Project Management, Product Development, Product Management or similar functions with pharma/biopharma companies.

  • A solid foundation in histopathology an advantage

  • Experience in Digital Pathology a plus

  • Experience in formulating and successfully commercializing new business opportunities an advantage

  • An ability to build and execute positive outcomes for the company and the pharma partner
