At Wells Fargo, we are looking for talented people who will put our customers at the center of everything we do. We are seeking candidates who embrace diversity, equity and inclusion in a workplace where everyone feels valued and inspired.

Help us build a better Wells Fargo. It all begins with outstanding talent. It all begins with you.

As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk — or Independent Risk Management — provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.

The Business Resiliency and Disaster Recovery Risk Oversight team is an independent risk management function within the Corporate Risk Group.  This team is responsible for monitoring and oversight of the firm's Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Risk (e.g. resiliency).  This includes traditional independent risk management activities to identify, assess, measure, monitor, control and report on significant enterprise risks to ensure these enterprise risks are appropriately managed within established risk appetites and tolerances. In order to accelerate the adoption of strong risk management practices and transform the Wells Fargo culture, the BRDR Risk Oversight team is strengthening its independent risk management capabilities and will be hiring a BRDR Operational Risk Senior Associate.   This is an exciting opportunity to join an independent risk management team dedicated to providing Wells Fargo with world-class resiliency risk management.

The BRDR Operational Risk Senior Associate is responsible for:

Applying independent risk management practices to ensure the firm's disaster recovery, incident management, information security, cyber resiliency, crisis communications, and business continuity programs are performing, functioning in a safe and sound manner, are in compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines from multiple jurisdictions (e.g. OCC, FRB, CFPB and other international regulators), and meet industry best practices. This individual will assist with oversight and monitoring of Wells Fargo's front line Enterprise Business Continuity and Resiliency Planning (EBCRP) team.  The individual is expected to maintain awareness and influence and escalate as needed utilizing the Wells Fargo Risk Management Framework, policies, and procedures established by Corporate Risk.

This position will play a key role in Enterprise Business Resiliency and Disaster Recovery oversight, to include:

  • Utilize SME knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, incident management, crisis communication, cyber resiliency, pandemic events, and related programs to support second line of defense BRDR oversight.
  • Independently assess, report, and escalate business resiliency risks to Independent Risk Management Leadership.
  • Evaluate control design and control performance for effectiveness.
  • Perform and document targeted assessments, monitoring routines, and oversight activities.
  • Assist with monitoring and testing adherence to BRDR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of enterprise-wide business resiliency risk policies and procedures.
  • Provide credible challenge to frontline activities, including those related to remediation plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate frontline business resiliency-related training, testing, and exercise programs and events to increase Wells Fargo's ability to respond to critical incidents.

**Please note that posting duration may be shortened based on job seeker volume.**
