The Global Real World Data Strategy, Analytics and Insights (GRWD-SAI) group, sits within Pfizer Digital, and is focused on accelerating adoption, maximizing investment, and advancing application of commercial and real-world data (RWD) across all therapeutic areas and the entire product lifecycle to improve access and value for patients. This group is also responsible for developing and executing an enterprise-wide data strategy and roadmap that will drive across enterprise-wide data accessibility, adoption, utilization and deployment through supporting processes such as training and knowledge sharing to ensure that Pfizer can leverage and benefit from data assets and analytics programs.
We seek an experienced business leader who will manage Compliance of Commercial Data and Real World Data assets enterprise wide. The Data Compliance Manager will assist in ensuring Pfizer is in compliance with regulatory authorities' requirements regarding data integrity and data privacy across data assets. The Manager will engage with cross-functional business teams to ensure that business requirements are aligned with both external governing regulators and Pfizer's internal compliance policies and regulation. This role will manage ongoing activities to preserve the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of organizational data, intellectual property, and information resources with applicable security policies and standards.
The Data Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing and defining controls regarding how/when data assets can be utilized for analytics and reporting. This role will serve as a key representative during regulatory agency and third-party inspections, as required. This role will also be responsible for creating documentation and training related to data compliance related policies and procedures for Commercial Data and Real World Data Assets.

+ Implement processes and practices to support data privacy compliance and policies in accordance with industry certification standards(eg HIPAA, NIST, CCPA, & GDPR)
+ Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, and other functions to ensure review and negotiate data privacy terms and conditions in vendor contracts
+ Respond to (and escalating as appropriate) data privacy incidents in conjunction with Corporate Security, Legal and other functions
+ Design, develop, coordinate, and deliver compliance instructional guides and training programs
+ Monitor and track external data assets access and usage.
+ Define control processes and standard operating procedures to streamline policies, data access, and utilization procedures for external data assets
**Professional Experience and Educational Requirements**
+ 5+ years in Data Compliance and strategy related role
+ Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent Master's level education preferred
+ CIPP/CIPM/CIPT certification (or equivalent) desirable
+ Advanced writing, problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and time management skills.
+ Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and commercial data business drivers
+ Proven skills in working across diverse, cross-functional teams in solving data problems.
+ Prior experience in a role responsible for handling matters of data security & compliance
+ Proven knowledge and experience managing pharmaceutical clinical and scientific data including: clinical trial data; patient-level data; real world data; payer-prescriber-level data; formulary data; and epidemiological data
+ Previous working knowledge and experience in helping companies comply with regulatory, industry, and corporate data standards
+ Deep understanding of relevant data management and privacy standards and regulations, and their implications on compliance processes (e.g. GDPR, CCPA etc.)
+ Strong ability to communicate effectively with engineering leadership, and non technical teams' leadership to ensure proper attention and prioritization of our security and compliance initiatives
+ Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast paced, and rapidly changing environment, while maintaining multiple complex issues and competing priorities simultaneously.
