The scope of services provided include Record to Report processes such as Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Master Data Governance, Capital, Inventory; Transaction Processing in Procure to Pay, Order to Cash; Payroll, Operational Transfer Pricing; Indirect Tax, Treasury Operations, MAPP Administration and Risk Management & Compliance
The **Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) Lead** will be responsible for providing risk, compliance and control guidance around quality monitoring activities, remediation plans, and reporting. The RM&C Lead works closely with assigned GBS senior leaders to drive risk and compliance priorities in operations, transformation and organization culture. The Lead also works closely with compliance stakeholders to ensure alignment regarding requirements, coordination of audit activities and governance related to control changes.
The position will have focus on GBS Colleague Services and Corporate HR team, but will also work with other teams as assigned. The role will also lead GBS RM&C activities for the Tampa site.
+ Plans and manages all SOX audit activities with both internal and external audit while acting as primary liaison between audit and HR.
+ Provides guidance and support for other audits impacting or involving HR or HR data.
+ Makes decisions that may require developing new options to resolve complex problems.
+ Act as independent reviewer to ensure segregation of duties including certain Workday controls as defined by the Workday RCM and SOPs.
+ Ensure adherence to the HR Policy Governance process and act as primary point of contact.
+ Develop and maintain a strong and practical risk awareness, compliance and control culture and environment through partnership with leadership
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and consultation in collaboration with Business Process Owners to:
+ Ensure process and internal control changes resulting from new or changing Corporate Financial Reporting Policies and Procedures and Corporate/ Divisional FCPA Policies and Procedures are documented in standard operating procedures (SOPs)
+ Provide input to annual review of relevant Global SOPs and ensure implementation of required changes resulting from control remediation or business process, technology or control changes. Ensure local business process or technology changes are evaluated and communicated as needed if impact to Global SOP is identified.
+ Streamline and harmonize local policies, including removal of local/ divisional policies where they can be leveraged from Corporate Policies and Procedures or Global SOPs
+ Provide local consultation on Global Policies as directed by GBS RM&C, Compliance and any other Global Policy owners to ensure consistent interpretation and processes
+ Provide guidance and expertise to business process owners in the development, execution, and documentation of remedial actions for deficiencies in ICOFR/ SOX design or operating effectiveness or process enhancements identified through day-to-day compliance and control activities or Corporate Audits
+ Organize and manage any locally required SAS70 reports (or equivalent), including completion of annual assessment requirements
+ Monitor the design and effectiveness of remediation activity and report on its progress to stakeholders
+ Drive and execute APP attestation questionnaire certification for supported markets; review and follow up on identified exceptions through to resolution
+ Drive and execute SOX 302 and 404 certifications and surveys for supported markets; review and develop action items required for identified business, control or system environment changes and drive through to resolution
+ Execute analytical reviews used to identify and investigate red flags in the areas of ICOFR, FCPA/HCC (Healthcare Compliance), and T&E, which may include the identification of Key Risk Indicators ("KRIs"); ensure resolution of all items identified
+ Report results of compliance initiatives activities using guidance, tools, and templates provided by RM&C leadership, which will also be presented to management
+ Execute escalation protocols designed by Controllers and Financial Services Leadership for deficiencies or issues identified as a result of monitoring initiatives or as escalated from BPOs
+ Partner with Controllers and other key stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Legal, Divisional Controllers) to develop periodic training materials related to ICOFR/ SOX, or other Compliance Quality activities as needed
+ Lead and engage with stakeholders to design, test and maintain Business Continuity Plans for GBS teams based in Tampa, FL hub
+ Lead and execute global and regional compliance and control projects as appropriate
+ Plan and lead engagement and training of RM&C Senior Analysts
+ Attend training as required
Education and Experience:
+ Approximately 6 - 8 years of working experience in a risk management/ control environment, including experience with risk identification, measurement and assessment, risk monitoring, reporting and escalation
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; MBA / CPA preferred or other equivalent education / certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant)
+ Experience working in a Controller, Compliance and/ or Audit role; Big 4 Accounting experience preferred
+ Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles and COSO internal controls framework
+ Experience navigating a large, complex organization and managing stakeholder's interests using a matrixed organization
+ Strong project management skills
+ Experience influencing and executing complex solutions involving multiple groups
+ Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability in risk identification, measurement and assessment, risk monitoring, reporting and escalation
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
+ Ability to identify business issues/ opportunities and to frame business questions
+ Ability to interact with business and finance leaders across Pfizer Inc.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with the Pfizer compliance community, and share information in an open and transparent way
+ Ability to facilitate and lead knowledge sharing and training sessions with process owners as a means of harmonizing processes and controls
