Associate - Science (Consultant)
IEc is seeking a full-time Science Associate with a strong background in biology (e.g., marine, wildlife), ecology, ecotoxicology, chemistry, hydrology, geology, or a related field. The successful candidate will support our dynamic, cross-disciplinary work on topics such as natural resource damage assessment, oil spill assessment, habitat restoration, environmental impact analyses, and site remediation.
Associates design and implement major analyses, interpret and communicate results, and recommend modifications to achieve project objectives. Associates often coordinate projects, interact with clients, and manage Research Analysts’ tasks. Their work requires a high degree of initiative and creativity.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to speak and write effectively are required, as is familiarity with quantitative analytic methods applicable to the candidate’s field of study. Preferred skills include statistical analysis, GIS, and proficiency with advanced Excel, including model development. Prior work organizing and analyzing complex datasets or conducting applied ecology analyses is beneficial.
Because IEc is committed to growth from within, we seek Associate candidates with a long-term interest in a consulting career. Associates are eligible for promotion to Senior Associate.
