Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Signal Processing
The Samuel I. Ward Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Hartford invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to start August 2020. The preferred specialties include digital signal processing, digital audio signal processing, image processing, signal processing for communications, radar, sonar, etc.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department with a teaching load of 3 courses per semester.
There will also be opportunities to teach in our innovative University Interdisciplinary Studies program. Candidates should show a willingness and ability to employ technology in teaching. Additionally, candidates will be expected to remain active in creative/scholarly pursuits and seek opportunities for peer-reviewed publications. Successful applicants will be expected to participate in departmental and school committees, advise students and contribute to student recruitment and retention. Significant opportunities exist for research collaboration with faculty members within CETA, with industrial partners, and across the University.
The College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture offers undergraduate Engineering programs in Electrical, Computer, Acoustical, Biomedical, Civil, Mechanical, and Robotics. It offers undergraduate Engineering Technology degrees in Audio, Computer and Electronic, Electromechanical, as well as Architectural Design + Technology. The college also offers master's programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, as well as Architecture. Qualifications & Requirements Essential are excellent teaching, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. The commitment and ability to recruit new undergraduate and graduate students is crucial. Earned doctorate in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field is required; ABD candidates with a firm date for completion will be considered.
