“Walls that Bleed: The Story of the Dudley-North Carolina A&T State Uprising” is a documentary film about the most successful student-lead uprising in the history of the United States. The event took place in Greensboro, North Carolina in May of 1969. The uprising started with a simple high school student election at all-black James B. Dudley High School. A student was refused the right to run for his high school's Student Council Presidency by the School Administration, who felt that the student’s radical views toward the status quo (which were nonviolent), were not as conservative as they would like for their student leader.
